What we collect

When you use Navigator — including the free Market Playbook, the application form, or the member dashboard — we collect the information you provide directly: your name, email address, what you sell, and any other details you enter into our forms.

We also collect basic usage data (pages visited, timestamps) to improve the product.

How we use it

  • To deliver your Market Playbook and weekly briefs
  • To review your application if you apply for Navigator
  • To send onboarding and product emails (you can unsubscribe anytime)
  • To improve Navigator based on aggregate usage patterns

Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Contract — to deliver the services you signed up for (Playbook, membership, briefs)
  • Consent — for marketing emails and optional analytics (you can withdraw consent at any time)
  • Legitimate interest — to improve our product, prevent fraud, and ensure platform security

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data to third parties
  • We don't share your information with other members
  • We don't use your data for advertising

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate Navigator:

  • Resend — email delivery
  • Vercel — website hosting
  • Railway — backend infrastructure

Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us.

International data transfers

Our service providers (Vercel, Railway, Resend) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where transfers occur, they are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or the provider operates under an adequate data protection framework. You can request details of the safeguards in place by contacting us.

Cookies and tracking

Navigator uses essential cookies required for the site to function (e.g., session management). We also use basic analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Data security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews of our infrastructure and code. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information.

Data retention

  • Account data (name, email, profile) — retained while your account is active and for 30 days after deletion request
  • Playbook and brief data — retained while your account is active
  • Usage analytics — aggregated and anonymized after 12 months
  • Email logs — retained for 90 days for delivery troubleshooting

You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@getnavigator.io.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your personal data
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Restriction — limit how we process your data in certain circumstances

Age restrictions
